We have built our Approved Products List(APL) over the course of 20 years! It started with requests from homeowners of products they’d like used in their homes, mixed with products we’ve deemed safe for our cleaners. We now use the EWG, or Environmental Working Group, as a rating source for our products. The EWG rates household cleaning products on an alphabetical scale of A-F, with A being the “best” and F being the “worst”. They take into account skin irritation/allergies/damage, acute aquatic toxicity, respiratory effects, biodegradation, developmental/endocrine/reproductive effects, general systemic/organ effects, damage to vision, and possible carcinogens, as well as disclosures about data availability(how much information has been disclosed by the manufacturer). Our current Approved Products List has specific products and scents listed, as well as the rating provided by the EWG. We do not approve products with a rating lower than C, and we try to approve products that are widely available in stores or online(Amazon, Walmart, Target, Drug Stores). Our APL is always growing, and we welcome suggestions from our staff and clients!
